Real estate mogul and media entrepreneur Avi Oster has earned a deserved reputation for putting on high profile events that showcase an eclectic (and some may even say eccentric) mix of talents and networking opportunities for the New York elite, but the recent Caron Gala sponsored by the Oster empire is an event of a very different sort. While many of the same socialites and beautiful people of the Big Apple could be seen at the gala, this show was not to showcase another fashion line or an Oster Media musician, but rather to promote and support the important work done by the Caron Renaissance centers to treat victims suffering from drug and alcohol addiction.

Ever since he branched out of real estate development and business management into the creative fields of fashion and media promotion Avi Oster has been known to host events of a different stripe. A recent fashion show featuring independent designers set to the beat of infamous New York DJ Paul Sivigny seemed to be the oddity when set against the likes of a poker tournament for college scholarships, a networking and musical extravaganza to promote Estelle’s All of Me foundation, and supporting Father’s Week activities with the Real Dad Network. As Oster’s profile has grown so it seems has his involvement with philanthropic causes through promoting numerous charities and foundations with his popular gatherings as well as providing much needed financial support to worthy nonprofits.

Oster is particularly involved in the All of Me Foundation established by Grammy winner Estelle, where he serves on the board in addition to promoting the charity at his 360 Induced event co-hosted with Grammy winner Ne-Yo. Whereas Caron Renaissance focuses on helping those suffering from addiction to recover and find the stability they need, All of Me helps inner city youth grow through providing life experiences and personal development projects.
